No Bag Policy
NO Bag Policy - Bags or Purses of any size are NOT permitted. Wallets/ wristlets no larger than 5”x 8”x1” are permitted. A single medical, dietary or childcare bag is permitted and subject to visual search. We suggest leaving most items at home.

Management reserves the sole right to determine prohibited items. Guests may return them to their vehicle or surrender to Security without return.
Camera Policy
No audio or video recording. Specific photo policies are determined by the show or tour. Selfie sticks and iPads are prohibited. Devices are not permitted to interfere with other guest’s views.
Cashless
Mershon Auditorium is a cashless facility. Make parking, concession and merchandise purchases via debit / credit card or mobile payment. MASTERCARD, VISA, DISCOVER AND AMERICAN EXPRESS accepted.
Food & Beverage
No outside food or beverages will be permitted in the venue. Concessions are available for purchase. Water fountains are available.
Mobile Tickets
Tickets purchased via ticketmaster are delivered as a SafeTix code. Your phone is your ticket. Make sure your phone is fully charged. Transfer or accept a transfer and add tickets to your digital Wallet IN ADVANCE! Not valid printed on paper OR as a screenshot. No smartphone? - bring your confirm email /photo ID to the Ticket Office the day of the event.
No Smoking/ Tobacco/ Marijuana
The use of tobacco products (including and not limited to cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars and cigarillos, hookah smoked products, pipes, oral tobacco and nasal tobacco) is prohibited in all university buildings and on all university-owned properties, including parking lots, garages, and outside areas.
This includes any product intended to mimic tobacco products or deliver nicotine other than for the purpose of cessation.
Possession and use of marijuana – even if obtained legally under Ohio law – is prohibited in or on all university-owned, operated or leased property. This includes residence halls and other university housing facilities, offices, university-managed properties and all Wexner Medical Center facilities. Federal law supersedes Ohio law. Because the university receives federal funding, the university is subject to federal law in this area, including the Drug Free Schools and Communities Act. This act specifically prohibits possession, use or distribution of marijuana in relation to any university activity, including research.

Prohibited and Permitted Items/ Security Screening

Management reserves the sole right to determine types of security screening. Refusal to comply, anything deemed by management to pose a safety hazard or diminish the enjoyment of other guests OR possession of any of the following may lead to ejection without refund.
A-Z - Prohibited items:
- Alcohol
- Animals, except service animals assisting Guests with disabilities as defined by the American with Disabilities Act (ADA)
- Banners, flags, posters, and signs are not permitted. Some events may allow small signs as long as they do not impede the view of other guests. Signs deemed offensive, vulgar or commercial are not permitted.
- Containers (common examples include, but not limited to flasks, coolers, ice chests, cans, bottles, cups or thermoses). Clear, plastic and empty bottles are PERMITTED.
- Firearms. Weapons are not permitted in the arena. Possession of a firearm or weapon is strictly forbidden. Possession of a weapon will result in immediate confiscation, ejection and/or possible arrest.
- Off-duty, sworn law enforcement officials employed full-time by The Ohio State University Police Division, the City of Columbus Division of Police, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office or Ohio State Highway Patrol, who are in compliance with applicable legal requirements, are permitted to carry a concealed firearm on university property located within the jurisdiction of their home agency. All other law enforcement officers employed by state and local agencies within the State of Ohio are only permitted to carry concealed while off-duty in campus establishments that serve the public. State and local officers employed by agencies within the State of Ohio are required to check in with Law Enforcement, present their agency ID card and admission ticket upon entry to the venue. - Fireworks or explosives
- Food and beverages
- Inflatables (balls, balloons, etc.)
- Illegal Drugs
- Markers or paint
- Poles, sticks, pipes (including selfie sticks)
- Lasers and laser pointers
- Noise-making devices, including but not limited to: horns, whistles or bells.
- Vending, peddling, product sampling and flyering are prohibited without the express permission of venue management.
- Weapons or items that mimic weapons, including but not limited to: (aerosol cans, scissors, lighters, matches, firearms (including CCW permit holders) fireworks, pocket knives, knives, spiked bracelets, brass knuckles, martial arts weapons, stun guns, squirt guns, super soakers and wallet chains) or any item deemed dangerous or inappropriate.
- Wrapped gifts or packages
- Any item or action that in the judgment of venue management may pose a safety hazard or diminish the enjoyment of an event by other guests.
Strollers
For family shows, strollers will be tagged and maintained in our lobby as there is limited space within the theater itself. At this time, we do not maintain booster seats for children.
